Children with cancer and their families living in Leicester and Northampton were treated to Pasic picnics in the park with our Support Workers.
On 29th July families gathered in Leicester for a relaxed afternoon of food, fun and laughter. The following day, our Support Workers hosted a similar event in Northampton.
The picnics gave families a much-needed break from the challenges of treatment, while giving them chance to socialise with others in similar situations, build friendships and feel less isolated.
The events featured classic school sports day games bringing the simple joys of childhood that many children with cancer miss out on. A variety of picnic food was offered and families had the chance to relax, chat and catch up with our Support Workers in an informal setting.
