It was a night of big hearts on Saturday 8th February as over 200 guests gathered at Crowne Plaza Hotel, Nottingham for the PASIC Valentine’s Ball.
Hosting the event was Smooth Radio’s Gareth Evans, with live music from Nottingham band Electric Jukebox, a three course meal, live auction and raffle. Guests from local businesses, sports clubs and those with personal connections to PASIC danced into the night and raised nearly £20,000 for local children with cancer.
PASIC Chief Exec. Louise Towse said:
“Support from local businesses and members of the wider local community was overwhelming. Generous contributions and sponsorship helped us achieve an incredible total on the night.”
The money raised will make such a difference to the support we can give to local families facing the devastation of childhood cancer.”
“Since our last ball, we’ve taken on an additional Support Worker. But more families are turning to us in desperation. The money raised at the Valentine’s Ball will be used to expand our Family Support Team further. It will also help us provide vital services, such as counselling, financial assistance, free trips and activities for the whole family.
“I’d like to personally thank each and every person who supported this years’ event. We’re amazed at the total raised and it’s a testament to the hard work of everyone involved. From the generous guests who attended, to the fantastic businesses who donated raffle prizes and auction lots, and the volunteers who made sure the event ran smoothly.”
