Above and beyond for children with cancer

Specsavers extends partnership with Pasic to 2027

Specsavers’ Nottingham Support Office has announced the extension of its Charity of the Year partnership with Pasic through to March 2027.

The decision follows an outstanding first year of support, which saw the Specsavers team go above and beyond to raise funds and awareness for local families facing childhood cancer.

More than twenty team members took on the Tough Mudder challenge at Belvoir Castle, raising nearly £10,000 in the process. The team also hosted a charity fashion show, championed Pasic at staff events, and even provided meeting space for the charity’s team. Individual efforts added to the momentum too, with one colleague completing the Robin Hood Half Marathon to boost fundraising further.

The fundraising effort has been led by Lisa Dobbs, who heads up the Community, Sports and Social Team. Lisa said:

We’ve been truly honoured to support Pasic this year. The work they do to help children and young people with cancer, and their families, is nothing short of inspiring. It’s been a privilege to contribute in any way we can, and I’ve personally enjoyed working with their passionate and dedicated team. We’re proud to support Pasic and look forward to continuing our partnership into next year”.

The partnership has proved both impactful and rewarding, with the Specsavers Nottingham office choosing to continue its support. Looking ahead, plans for 2026 are already underway, with 50 employees signed up to complete the Three Peaks Challenge, aiming to raise even greater funds and awareness for Pasic.

Louise Towse, CEO of Pasic, said:

We’re incredibly grateful to Specsavers for extending their partnership with Pasic. When a corporate partner chooses to continue their support beyond the initial term, it reflects a strong relationship built on shared values and a genuine commitment to making a difference. The team’s enthusiasm and dedication have had a huge impact on local families facing childhood cancer, and we’re excited to see what we can achieve together in the years ahead”.
