This half-term, Pasic was delighted to host a series of special family trips across the region, giving children with cancer and their families the opportunity to step away from hospital appointments to enjoy precious time together.
Here’s what we got up to!
Thrills, laughter and adventure at Twinlakes
We kicked off our half-term activities with an exciting day at Twinlakes Family Theme Park, where 27 families joined us for a fun-filled adventure.
Families enjoyed the rides and attractions, sharing moments of excitement and laughter throughout the day.
A wild day out at Twycross Zoo
Next, 23 families spent the day exploring Twycross Zoo and enjoying the chance to see animals from around the world.
The trip offered families the opportunity to learn, explore, and spend quality time together in a relaxed and enjoyable environment. Seeing the animals up close created plenty of memorable moments for children and parents alike.
Memories together at Wicksteed Park
Our third trip took place at Wicksteed Park, where eight families came together for a day of fun and happy times.
Seaside smiles at Skegness
We rounded off our half-term adventures with a seaside trip to Skegness Aquarium and Skegness Pier, where 11 families enjoyed a wonderful day by the coast.
Families explored the aquarium, enjoyed the attractions on the pier, and made the most of the fresh sea air and traditional seaside fun. It was a fantastic way to end a memorable week of activities.
The difference these trips make
These trips provide much more than just a day out. They offer families a much-needed opportunity to forget about cancer, even if only for a short time, and focus instead on creating happy memories together.
"We had such an amazing trip. I cannot thank you enough for days like this - you bring families together on the and off the ward. It's so nice to share experiences with families who can really relate. Thank you to all the Pasic Team!"
