Above and beyond for children with cancer
On Sunday 12th April, we hosted our much-loved Easter Party, this time at a new venue – the Crowne Plaza in Kegworth. We welcomed 38 children with cancer and their families for a day filled with much-needed fun.
The event offered a chance for families to take a break from the challenges of treatment and simply enjoy being together in a relaxed environment, with our Pasic support workers and volunteers.
The room was filled with Easter excitement, with activities including dancing, magical characters and superheroes, face painting, candyfloss, Easter eggs and a raffle.
For many families, events like these provide a rare opportunity to step away from hospital routines and meet others who understand.
"Thank you from the bottom of my heart for today’s wonderful Easter party. What you have created is so much more than just a gathering. It was a day filled with joy and a chance to forget the hardships of treatment. Seeing the children laughing is priceless… You are angels in human form!"
“The kids absolutely loved it – especially winning raffle prizes for the first time, which was so exciting for them. They loved their Easter eggs and the face painting. It was also really lovely to spend time with other families who understand what we’re going through.”
