Above and beyond for children with cancer

Our impact

We provide daily support to around 500 families across the East Midlands.

Thanks to our amazing supporters, we make a difference by

Relieving pressure

Our grants ease financial worries for families struggling with the hidden costs of childhood cancer.

Improving wellbeing

We provide counselling, outings, and other support to help families cope and ease stress. Our care strengthens the whole family, so everyone can be the best support for a seriously ill child.

Making family time count

Cancer puts overwhelming strain on families. We help bring the fun back into life and create happy memories, giving families the chance to reconnect and feel closer.

Building confidence

We help seriously ill children face the challenges of treatment and grow in confidence. This resilience supports them through hospital stays and makes the return to school a little easier.

Creating community

We reduce the isolation families often feel by connecting them with others who understand what they’re going through. Children and young people gain vital opportunities to socialise, build friendships and feel less alone.

Sharing hope

Connecting families at different stages of diagnosis and treatment helps reduce fear, provides positive role models, and offers hope when it’s needed most.

Giving unique support

Unlike other organisations, we support the whole family – and we’re here for the long haul. Even after treatment ends, we help families rebuild their lives and get back to everyday life, knowing we’re right there beside them.

Creating an inclusive space

We make sure every child and young person feels comfortable at our events, without worrying about looking different because of hair loss, feeding tubes, or physical disabilities. Families can relax knowing all the practical details are taken care of.
Our events bring together people from all walks of life – different cultures, backgrounds, and family structures. We’re sensitive to these differences and tailor our support and activities with care.
Everything we do is designed to be accessible. We work hard to remove barriers like cost, location, or language, and use our close knowledge of families to meet their needs as they arise.
