Above and beyond for children with cancer
If you’ve been told your child isn’t going to get better, we’re here for you. We understand you’ll be trying to stay strong for your child, but you can always confide any worries or wishes in us.
Your time together is precious. So your Family Support Worker will find out what matters most to your family and help make the time you have together as comfortable, meaningful and special as possible.
When you know your child’s life is limited, being becomes especially important.
We help families create and capture moments that truly matter, whether that’s through Polaroid photos or something more personal to your child. We can help you plan a special treat or experience – something your child would love, either with family or close friends too.
Families have chosen things like a pamper night, a favourite show, a day out, or a visit to somewhere that holds special meaning. Talk to your Family Support Worker if you’d like help thinking through ideas.
We’re here to help ease financial worries at this difficult time. We offer a compassionate grant of £1,000 to use however you wish.
Please know that you can always talk to us – we’re here during the sad, difficult days as well as the moments when you want to remember and celebrate your loved one.
If you’d like to speak to a therapist, we can signpost you to specialist bereavement support or arrange sessions with one of our counselling providers. We’re here for your whole family, supporting mums, dads and siblings as you all try to make sense of the feelings and challenges that come after losing a child.
“We are so grateful to Pasic for Anna’s fingerprint necklace. Both myself and her sister Maisie will treasure it forever.”
