Charity link is a registered charity which works throughout Leicester, Leicestershire, Rutland and Northamptonshire to help improve the lives of local people facing hardship. They help by providing everyday items that the majority of us take for granted, such as clothing, a bed to sleep in, a cooker to prepare a hot meal, and, in emergencies, food. These items may not cost much, but they can make a massive difference to people’s lives, both immediately and long term. They can help restore dignity, independence, hope for the future, and enable people to fulfil their potential in life.

BBC Emergency Essentials Programme

BBC Children in Need Emergency Essentials Programme supports children and young people who are facing exceptionally difficult circumstances, and is delivered by Family Fund Business Services. The programme provides items that meet a child’s most basic needs such as a bed to sleep in, a cooker to provide a hot meal and other items or services critical to a child’s wellbeing.

You cannot refer yourself, PASIC will need to refer you.

Molly Ollys

Molly Olly’s Wishes supports children with life threatening or life limiting illnesses and their families to help with their emotional wellbeing. They grant individual wishes and donate therapeutic toys and books to both children directly and to hospitals throughout the UK.

Blackpool-based charity which hosts the ‘Daisy Chain Project’, offering holiday accommodation for respite breaks. Including for bereaved families.

Counselling Directory UK

The purpose of the site is ultimately to provide the UK with a huge counselling support network, enabling those in distress to find a counsellor close to them and appropriate for their needs. This is a free, confidential service that will hopefully encourage those in distress to seek help.
