I live in Nottinghamshire with my partner and three children – well four if you count the dog.
I used to work in marketing until my – now teenage – twins decided to make a very premature entry to the world. That began a change in direction for my life, their ongoing health issues meant long hospital stays and countless appointments including my son being treated at QMC for Hepatoblastoma 10 years ago, so I have lived the childhood cancer journey first hand.
I understand how spending long periods of time in hospital feels, and the toll that it can take on the patient and the family as a whole. I’m really proud to work as a Family Support Worker for PASIC, who supported us on our journey, and I’m passionate about returning the support to families going through treatment now.
