Supporting families of children and young
people with cancer in the East Midlands

It was chocolate galore thanks to many kind  donations from our supporters and local businesses in April, when over 250 eggstatic party goers attended the PASIC Easter Party at the Nottingham Crowne Plaza Hotel.

The Mad Hatter Tea party theme had young guests spellbound by Alice in Wonderland and the Mad Hatter.  There was a wonderful Easter bonnet parade and competition, Easter crafts, photo booth and face painting, not to mention magic tricks, games and other entertainment  as families joined in the fun with their families and friends made on the ward in hospital.

We had a couple of special visitors too, with Pudsey Bear making an appearance and Gem Fm presenters popped in to donate a giant teddy bear as an extra special prize.  Many parents and grandparents too, have commented on how wonderful it was to see their children having such a fun afternoon which helped them feel ‘normal’.

The PASIC team would like to say a huge thank you to all those who made the party such an amazing afternoon –  the hardworking team of volunteers, the Crowne Plaza staff and Dudleys Hair and Beauty with their donation of spectacular nail art.

A special thanks goes to Big Yellow storage for their generous donation of storage space to help with the party preparations and keeping the mountain of Easter eggs safe in the weeks running up to the party!
